Elk Valley Rancheria Mural
Elk Valley Casino, Crescent City

The Elk Valley Rancheria of the Tolawa tribe consists of 105 acres of land with a population of 70-80 people. Devastated by the introduction of cholera and measles during the mid-1800s, and victim of multiple massacres by white settlers, the tribe has managed to prosper only in recent decades with the opening of the Elk Valley Casino, the Del Norte Golf Course, and other enterprises.

The Elk Valley Rancheria Mural is located on the front of the Elk Valley Casino-2500 Howland Hill Rd. In Crescent City, Calif. It represents their copyrighted logo in the circle, with the outside designed by Resident Artist Harley Munger. Students involved with this project were from the Del Norte Counties Social Service Independent Living Program. Student Leader on this project was Tara Silveressa.

The mural stands 7 feet by 8 feet.

Total Market Value = $14,000.00
