The Third Street Mural Project took 3 years to complete. It is designed by Harley Munger of Piece by Piece Pottery and consists of 54 individual murals that represent the history and natural surroundings of Del Norte County. Collaberative partners on this project were Elk Valley Artisans, the Business Improvement District, the City of Crescent City with a Community Development Block Grant, and 54 sponsors from the community that are mentioned on a plaque above each hexagon. Most are in loving memory of or honoring people in our community. In that way, the mural freezes time and will enjoyed by the community for many years. The mural was dedicated on April 18th, 2013 to celebrate the City of Crescent City's birthday.
